Employer’s Guide to EIS, SOCSO, and EPF Contributions in Malaysia

  1. As an employer, you are required by law to make monthly contributions towards EIS, SOCSO, and Employee Provident Fund (EPF) for your employees’ benefits.
  2. The EIS contribution is 0.2% of an employee’s salary, with both the employer and employee contributing equally. The minimum eligible monthly salary can be as low as RM30, where the 0.4% will see them contributing just RM0.10 each month.
  3. The EPF contribution rate for employers and employees is based on their monthly salary rate, and the monetary payments that are subject to EPF contribution.
